Thomas Hamm was born in Darmstadt in 1973. He received his acting training in the mid-90s in Berlin at the »Ernst Busch« University of Dramatic Arts. His professional engagements have taken him to various theaters, including the Freie Bühne Senftenberg, Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, Landestheater Neustrelitz, Freie Kammerspiele Magdeburg, and Landestheater Dinslaken. Since 2008, Thomas Hamm has been a member of the ensemble at the Theater Aachen. In 2011, he was awarded the »Goldenes Kammerbühnenbodenbrett«. He is the creator of the Theater Quartet. In the past season 23/24, for example, he appeared in the productions “Hamlet” and “Auf See”, and in the season 24/25 in “Das Portal” and “Die Möwe”. He can currently be seen in »Blutbrot« and »Alice im Wunderland« as the Hatter.

Why do you make theatre?
 
For me, doing theatre is like, »You come to the playground, and all your friends are already there - jackpot!«
 
What future do you dream of?
 
I dream of a truly inclusive society, one without categories and special sections.
 
What is your favorite place in Aachen?
 
At the top of my list of favorite places are the city park and Kronenberg. That's where I play disc golf.
