Born in 1991, Sina Manthey initially studied fine arts with John Bock, among others, and as a guest student scenography and exhibition design at the HfG Karlsruhe and as a scholarship holder at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. While still an art student, she first began sitting in for stage designer Janina Audick, then assisting her on a regular basis. She completed her master's degree with a focus on stage space and free art under Raimund Bauer and Markus Selg at the HfBK Hamburg in 2020. Sina has since developed stage and costume designs for plays, opera and operetta at Theater Basel and Schauspiel Frankfurt with Bonn Park, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Kosmos Theater Wien with Milena Michalek, Munich Volkstheater with Stuhler/Koslowski and Nikolas Darnstädt, Hebbel am Ufer Berlin with Christiane Rösinger, Theater Münster and Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater with Anna Weber, Theater Magdeburg with Florian Fischer and now Theater Aachen with Katharina Grosch, among others.
