British-Irish baritone Ronan Collett studied musicology at the University of Cambridge and opera studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He was a BBC New Generation Artist and has performed with BBC Philharmonic / Andris Nelsons, SCO / Robin Ticciati, BBC SO / Andrés Orozco-Estrada, among others. From 2012 to 2018 he was a member of the ensemble of the Stuttgart State Opera (Count Almaviva, Guglielmo, Papageno, Marcello, Harlequin). Since the 19.20 season, he has been an ensemble member at Theater Aachen (Sweeney Todd, Prince Yeletsky, Escamillo, among others). Ronan has performed throughout Europe as well as in Japan and Australia with musicians such as Mitsuko Uchida, Roger Vignoles, Graham Johnson, Doric Quartet, Gabrielli Consort & Asambura Ensemble. In the 23.24 season he sung Grimbald, Marcello, Escamillo and Ferryman. In June 2024 gave a concert with Nicholas Rimmer at the Wigmore Hall. He has been awarded a Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship and appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
This season, he can be seen as Henry Higgins in »My Fair Lady«, in “Johannes-Passion« and in the world premiere of »Malina«.
