Philipp Nicklaus

Philipp Nicklaus has been a sought-after opera and concert singer for many years, with a focus on contemporary music theatre. Engagements have already taken him to the Stuttgart State Opera, Leipzig Opera, Semperoper Dresden, Staatstheater Mainz, Volkstheater Rostock, Theater Freiburg, Theater Augsburg, Junge Oper Mannheim, Taschenoper Vienna and the Heidenheim Opera Festival. His roles sung on stage include Tamino, Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Alfred (Die Fledermaus), Stanislaus (Der Vogelhändler), Gomatz (Zaide), Don Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro), Anthony Hope (Sweeney Todd) and Jacob (Gold!). He has worked with conductors including Cornelius Meister, Ulf Schirmer, Michael Güttler, Bernhard Kontarsky, Christopher Moulds, Giuliano Carella, Markus Poschner and Roland Kluttig. In Aachen, he will make his debut as Sultan Soliman in Zaïde/Adama.
