Larisa Akbari, born in Russia, studied at the Kazan State Conservatory/Russia and was a finalist of the first International Mikhailovs Singing Competition in Russia. After a two-year engagement at the City Theater Cheboksary/Russia she continued her master studies in Germany at the Musikhochschule Köln/Aachen with Prof. Claudia Kunz-Eisenlohr. She attended various master classes, among others with Edita Gruberova and Luana DeVol. She made her debut in Germany at the Schlosstheater Celle in the production of »Die Entführung aus dem Serail« as Konstanze. Further guest contracts took her to the Bonn Opera and finally to the Aachen Theater, where she sang the role of Blonde in the spring 2016 production of »Die Entführung aus dem Serail«. Since 2017, she has worked closely with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn. In the 17.18 season, she sang Violetta in "La Traviata" and Donna Anna in »Don Giovanni« at Theater Aachen. In the 18.19 season, she was heard as Violetta in the revival of »La Traviata«. as Juliette in »Roméo et Juliette« by Charles Gounod, and as Fiordiligi in »Cosi fan tutte«. In the 19.20 season she could be heard as Lisa in »Pique Dame« by P. Tchaikovsky. And ly in Britten's »A Midsummer Night's Dream«.
