The stage and costume designer Josefin Kwon was born in Cologne in 1989. She studied theater studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. In 2019, she completed her costume design studies at the Berlin University of the Arts and has since worked as a freelance costume designer in Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna and Tübingen. Special interests in her work are pop cultural aesthetics, feminist discourses, intercultural and representation issues in art and culture. Most recently, January 2023 she designed the costume design for Selma Matter's world premiere »Grelle Tage«, the winning play of the Hans-Gratzer Stipendium 2022 directed by Charlotte Lorenz at Schauspielhaus Wien. September 2023 she is working with director Alex Nowak on his film »Die Straße der verlorenen Herzen«.
