Jan Koslowski, born in Rostock in 1987 and raised in Berlin, is a director, author and actor. He studied theatre directing at the Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg and the Zurich University of the Arts and theology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Koslowski's work as a director has taken him to the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Schauspielhaus Graz, the Württembergisches Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin, among others. As an actor, he regularly works on stage and in front of the camera, most recently in Bäckerei Harmony's »Stechen und Sterben« at the Volksbühne and in the short film »Platform« by Steffen Köhn and Johannes Bütter. Together with Nele Stuhler, he has been working as the author, theatre and performance collective »Stuhler / Koslowski« and »Laien des Alltags« since 2011, in this context he created the works »Pension Schöllerin" at the Volkstheater Munich and »Der kleine Snack« at Schauspiel Frankfurt in the 22/23 season. The latter was also invited to the Autor:innentheatertage at Deutsches Theater Berlin. Koslowski's prose debut »Rabauken« was published by Korbinian Verlag in 2020. Koslowski lives and works in Marseille and Berlin.
