Hermia Gerdes (pronouns: none or dey/demm/their; none or they/them/their) was born in 2000 and grew up in Cloppenburg. After a FSJ Culture in Theatre Mediation & Participation at the Mecklenburg State Theatre Schwerin, Hermia has been studying acting at the Film University Babelsberg »Konrad Wolf« since 2020, where they worked with Eva Löbau, João Pedro Prado, Peter Jordan and Maren Eggert, among others. At the same time, Hermia has already appeared in a number of short film projects as well as in well-known series such as ˛»Intimate« (Joyn+) or »Letzte Spur Berlin« (ZDF) and was engaged as a guest at Potsdam's Hans Otto Theatre in the 22.23 season, where she appeared in »Concord Floral« (director: Lilli-Hannah Hoepner). In the 23.24 season, Hermia Gerdes is a scholarship holder of the Theaterinitiative Aachen e.V. and can be seen in selected productions as part of the acting ensemble at the Theater Aachen.

What kind of future do you dream of?
I dream of a climate-just, anti-racist and barrier-free future where neopronouns are pronouns and tin* (trans*, inter, non-binary) people are generally equal, tolerated and understood both in the queer community and in the wider society.
