Florian Hertweck

Before he became self-employed ten years ago and has since worked as a musician, actor and director, Florian, a trained actor, was initially an ensemble member in Heidelberg and Hanover after completing his studies. He has a long and intensive collaboration with the rap trio Dlé. So far, he has staged all of Dlé's works in Aachen, Mannheim and Dresden as director. Hertweck is also a professor of stage acting at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. He works and researches at the interface between art and technology and most recently developed the interactive media artwork »Trust« together with Bernd Lintermann at the Center for Art and Media Technology, which can be seen at the Museum of the Future in Nuremberg, among other places. He is interested in legends and myths of the past as well as visions of the future. In »House of Karls« he and Dlé go in search of conclusions from the past for our now and tomorrow.
