Camille Schnoor

The German-French soprano Camille Schnoor was born in Nice in 1986. Praised for her »stunning performance and powerful, fascinating singing« (FAZ), she won the Bavarian Promotional Prize for the Performing Arts in 2020 as well as the Vokal Genial International Competition in 2013. In 2016, WELT nominated her as both »Best Singer« and »Best Newcomer« In the 2023/2024 season, Camille Schnoor debuts at the Bayreuth Festival as Klingsor's Zaubermädchen in a new production of Parsifal« , returns to Theater Aachen as Mimì in »La Bohème« in a new production, and appears as soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony alongside the Munich Symphony Orchestra at the Isarphilharmonie Munich and Liederhalle Stuttgart. She also returns to the Opéra de Nice, where she makes her role debut as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka, sings Ciò-Ciò- San (»Madama Butterfly«) at the Opéra de Vichy, and returns to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich with Hanna Glawari (»The Merry Widow«). From 2016 to 2023, Camille Schnoor was one of the leading soloists at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich. She has worked with conductors Pablo Heras-Casado, Frédéric Chaslin, Christian Arming, Laurence Equilbey, Daniel Kawka, Erik Nielson, and with directors Stefano Poda, Joan Anton Rechi, Michel Fau and Josef Köpplinger, among others. Her first solo album »Les Âmes Naturelles« was released in 2022 by Klarthe.
