Benedikt Voellmy was born in Biel (Switzerland) in 1980. As part of his studies at the HMT »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« in Leipzig, he was a member of the studio at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz. After graduating, he initially worked for four years at the Württembergische Landesbühne Esslingen. Since 2010 Benedikt Voellmy has been part of the acting ensemble of the Aachen Theatre and has regularly played leading roles in productions by Bernadette Sonnenbichler, Christina Rast, Christian v. Treskow and Jan Langenheim as well as many other directors. He has repeatedly been seen and heard in musical productions, such as Tom Waits' »Woyzeck«, as the Fiddler in »Anatevka«, in »Shockheaded Peter« and as Thomas Jerome Newton in »Lazarus«. Benedikt Voellmy lives with his family in Aachen. During the 2023–2024 season, he appeared in »Hamlet«, »Vom Fischer und seiner Frau«, and »Die Kunst der Freude«.

During the 24.25 season, he appeared in »Das Portal«, »Sagen Sie jetzt nichts«, and »Oppenhoff. Mohren. Cohn«, among others. He is currently on stage as Ägisth in »Die Orestie« and in »Alice im Wunderland«.
