Belle Santos is an interdisciplinary artist, costume and set designer based in Berlin. Her mostly collaborative practice encompasses performance, sculpture and scenography. Her work has been shown at the Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspielhaus Hannover, Residenztheater Munich, Sophiensaele Berlin and the Bavarian State Opera, as well as at the Athens Biennale, Lothringer 13 in Munich, Palais de Tokyo Paris, Centre Pompidou Shanghai and the German Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. From 2015-2022 she was part of the artistic direction of the performance group THE AGENCY and since 2020 she co-directs the digital performance platform 'Glasshouse.Berlin'. She was a scholarship holder of the Goethe Institute of Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto, the Saison Foundation Tokyo and received the young artist grant INITIAL of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin.
