Amy Schillings

Amy Schillings comes from Vaals, Netherlands. She has been taking classical singing lessons since she was 8 years old. In 2016 she started her Bachelor of Music and Voice at the Conservatorium Maastricht until 2018. In the same year she continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln-Aachen and graduated cum laude. She began her Master of Music Singing and Musical Theater in 2020 and also graduated cum laude in 2023. She has been coached by tenor Franco Farina since 2017.

Why do you do opera?

I do opera because I love this Gesamtkunstwerk of music. It's so special that we, as singers, can work in such a multifaceted way and combine singing with acting!

Who would you like to have dinner with?

La Divina: Maria Callas.

What future do you dream of?

I dream of a future in which you are happy and content with your favorite people around you! Above all, I also hope that we can do and enjoy our beautiful and special profession forever!
